Application and Usage
Moisture content is absolutely important to determine the correct harvest time.HE lite is specially designed for this function.
It is used to control the moisture in the field during the threshing process and to control moisture absorption in the combine-harvesting machine.
HE lite is used for regular moisture measurement to avoid quality losses during the drying process and during storage.
HE lite is suitable for moisture determination of grains, oilseeds and moist corn.
Measurement Principle
HE lite measures the temperature of a ground sample as well as the conductivity. The exact moisture value is calculated with an advanced measurement technique. The integrated measuring cell of the HE lite 40 is based on the Pfeuffer principle that has been proven for over years: the sample is ground and homogenized at the same time with special grinding discs. This guarantees the high reliability of HE lite for freshly harvested grain.
Measurement
The sample is poured into the filling measure, which is integrated into the upper unit of the measuring cell and then filled into the grinding chamber. The upper unit is placed on the device and screwed up to the limit stop. If necessary, a latch can optionally be used. The device is then turned on, the product is selected and measurement is activated. After a few seconds, the measurement result appears on the screen.
Menu Operation
HE lite's menu operation is very simple. Possible options are shown at the bottom of the screen and selected with the three function keys. Operation of the instrument is very simple thanks to its clear and logical menu structure. The trilinear illuminated display is contrasty and very readable even when there is no light. All information is stated in plain text.
Adjusting Calibrations
If necessary, HE lite can be individually calibrated by the user. The measured values of each product can be varied by a constant value and a multiplicative factor. This allows HE lite to be optimally adapted to individual requirements.
Calculating Average Readings
HE lite automatically calculates the average reading of several measurements. Select the number of measurements and the displayed measurement values under the menu „settings“ item „average reading“. After each measurement the average and individual readings are clearly indicated on the display.
